I had a Z10 before my Passport. On Z10, in Contacts app the was a column on the right side of the screen showing alphabets from A to Z. I could readily go to contacts starting with M for example by a tapping on M. But in Passport I need to swipe down the contacts all the way to M.

Have I changed any setting unconsciously on my Passport? Or they actually behave differently?

I think it is because of having the physical keyboard, the option isn't necessary. Just type the letter you want to jump into instead of tapping on the side. But I know, it isn't exactly the same as it is more of a "search" and the "M", for example can appear anywhere in the name.
I didn't miss that until now! haha!

Yes the physical keyboard is why... just type the letters of their name to jump right to it.
