I like my passport, but I wanted to see if anyone had any news on the success of the passport "out there."

Is it too early to tell? Are sales as expected? Did BlackBerry make a successful device?

To me personally, all eyes are on the Classic currently. I feel BlackBerry think that the masses will return with the release of the Classic...

I think it exceeded BlackBerry 's expectations, less hatred towards this phone in comparison to the Z10 by the mainstream media.

If you're referring to the number of sold devices, it depends on how many devices are considered as success for BlackBerry themselves.

From my own standards, it was good enough. I already met someone who bought this phone and the business I work for started giving these away to employees too.

This device has the whoaaaa factor, however it looks as if blackberry merchandise pundits where trying to hide it from the masses... I feel I have a niche smartphone... nobody has realized it is less expensive than a samsung galaxy which is owned even by the postman...

First time I am feeling that I am using a splendid device...the older BlackBerry smartphones must have sold because of die hard fans but passport is surely a winner...

So in my books passport is the best smartphone BlackBerry ever made. The specs, user experience, keyboard all a unique experience..nothing is in the market like a passport

In terms of sales figures, I don't know. It certainly exceeded many expectations. So, considered BlackBerry's difficult position in the market, you might call that a success. Most importantly it had a very positive impact in the media, and that's the real success about the device I guess.

Passport is step forward, while classic is step backwards. Used it for few days but it was simply too slow compared to the pp.
If bb can manage to continue to close the app gap and make a beasty classic device it would convince a lot non bb users.

It think a refined PP2 will be a bigger deal. People are curious about this one but won't pull the trigger bc they have lost all confidence in the brand..and rightfully so
