I also did not get great battery life on 1154, but 2072 is a whole other story. Excellent battery life. On moderate use, I'm charging every other day!

Today was heavy use and I'm sitting at 50% at the end of the day.

I got mine on Tuesday. I charged it to full at 11am on Wednesday and then just let it run. I wasn't using it heavily at work although I had it running blend and whatsapp Web during work hours. Moderate use after that and I got to 5% battery life by 6pm Thursday with a few phone calls and moderate use on Thursday. All in all, that was 30 plus hours without charging, which is crazy.

Leaving GPS on doesn't drain the battery unless you're actually using an app that needs it, in which case turning it off is counterproductive. But Blend does draw the battery down faster, I guess because it doubles radio use. If I'm close enough to my computer to use Blend, I'm close enough to charge via USB.

    GPS drains battery very much.
Apps which require gps and running in background (headless apps) uses gps if its turned on like the location service from the OS itself...

    Plus one to that.

Not been on the phone for 24 hours yet after Blitz update from .1154.

Overnight idle saw a discharge rate of 0.25% per hour, impressive.

That was with WiFi on, 4G and location services enabled.

Can't wait for it to settle !!!

Agreed 2072 has a excellent battery life. No comparisons with 1154. BUT 2072 has it own issues like :
Call records are lost many times.
Sharing a contact on BBM is not possible. It doesn't support.
All in all 2072 is very much stable as compared to 1154 but has small infant issues which I am sure will be addressed soonest.

If any app is using the GPS, you can see the ghosted GPS icon in the status bar. If you don't see it, the GPS radio isn't being used. It doesn't matter whether the app is native or Android.

I used to be careful about turning GPS off when I wasn't using an app that requires it. A month or so ago, I stopped doing that. Now I just leave it on. There has been no discernible difference in battery life. If headless apps were using the GPS enough to make a difference, I'd see that GPS icon more often. As it is, I never see it, except when I'm actually using the app.

There are, of course, some apps that make regular GPS calls, such as weather apps that are giving you location-based updates.

I keep location services turned on nonstop. Here's a screenshot of the battery consumption for the past 24 hours:

As you can see, the battery drain by location services is trivial. If the OS were making frequent location checks, it would show up.

Used the screen on for at least 2 hours and still 60% left. Sadly I can't tell exactly how much screen time since it is not written anywhere I believe.

The screen power draw is weird. What is your timeout? Or maybe the issue is that particular 10.3.1 build.

Blend doesn't affect my Passport's battery life that much, but does have a noticeable impact on my laptop.

It's not bad. Same dev that makes CCleaner for PCs. You need something like that to clear out the Android caches once in a while. Clean Master is good too.

My battery life is terrible. Bone stock, 7 hours. Packed with apps; 6-7 hours. Factory reset, latest firmware. Same.

    Edit:
Just discovered that whenever I have Snap beta installed, "system" clocks a lot of cpu time and, therefore, consumes battery, even when the device should be sleeping/standby. I uninstalled Snap beta and ran yesterday from 8:30am - midnight. Moderate to intermittent heavy use for about 9 hours, then light use for about 3 hours. Had 36 percent battery remaining.

Might be coincidental, but I'm going to reinstall Snap today (with out adding Play store apps), and see if CPU starts clocking again.

    I'm currently on 10.3.1.1581 release.
