If you're using Outlook.com, just set up the email on your phone as Active Sync: you only need to worry about syncing calenders and contacts if you're using an ancient POP3 account or an IMAP email account.

The issue was, it wasn't syncing or it took a long time to do it. I have multiple emails forwarded to that email and aliases. I am a a bit disappointed with the alias part which is another subject. Can't send email with any of them. *sigh
