I had SO much trouble today with Rogers regarding the Passport.

They confirmed with me that they wouldn't reduce or waive my Flextab balance (they did for my Z10) and confirmed that I would not be able to get it at the subsidized price unless I raised my plan by 25$ a month (and this was a loyalty rate). Apparently the fact that I get unlimited calling and 3 GBs of data for $70 a month after tax is unheard of and as good as employee plans.

They told me that due to the CRTC ruling that banned 3 yr terms, as of September 1st, 2014, all customers upgrading phones will have to switch to a "new" (read: expensive) plan to get the subsidized cost.

Refuse to? Pay outright.

So I ordered the phone outright from BlackBerry and I am sitting here praying it comes before the weekend by some grace of God!

I had the same issue, im on a 60 buck plan with 6gn data and unlimited calling voice mail and caller id. no cheap upgraded unless i get ride of my plan. HELL NO ill pay full price from amazon on Friday.

Don't quite have mine yet. Ordered it from ShopBlackBerry today at 10:xx EST, as soon as I saw the posting that it was available. Put it on next day delivery. Saw an email confirmation before lunch. Got home five hours later and there was a box of the right size sitting in front of the door. Quietly praised SBB for a super-duper speedy surprise. Parked the car, saw that it was an Amazon box... for the wife. Shook my fist at the heavens for such a cruel joke. Guess it'll be a few days yet for me.

Yes, you can. I use it on my Z10 to send to my daughter (who ALWAYS texts me when I am driving - I see it's her, I voice/text her back.

That's interesting. Even here, in third world Mexico, carriers are required by law to sell every phone unlocked unless it's on contract.

Different policy for every country cause it really depends on which store it is, cooperate owned stores like telus got the memo that they are not allowed to sell it outright on the first day (correct me if I'm wrong) That can change throughout the day from the upper management. With that said today has been a very successful day. Ask me anything!

I asked this elsewhere but then thought maybe best asked here.While I wait for my Passport to be delivered I'm reading and thinking. I am eagerly anticipating a holster. Which had me pondering wether or not a magnet will lock this BB. Anyone look through setting for behaviour when holstered. Or, has anyone tried a small magnet on the phone, like maybe another BB holster or something to see if it locks. I didn't find anything through search. If I missed something, point me there please.

Just a couple of questions: Is there an option for WiFi Hotspot? Can you insert a period by double pressing the space bar? And do any of the Microsoft apps work?

OK. I officialy joined the "I have my passport" today..
First impressions - LOVE IT.. seriously.. I was concerned about it's size.. in fact, it sat on my desk for an hour before I decided, yes, lets open the box and see what its like. My fear was soon replaced with joy.. WOW
The phone is exceptional in terms of build quality. Well done Blackberry.
The screen is a stunner.
I can see me being very happy with this for a long time to come. My Z30 will be passed down to one of my family.. I'm extremely pleased with it.

Just a quick question.
1. How do I get blend? Is it out yet?
2. Is there an easy way to move my settings etc from the Z30 to the PP?
