Hi I have a BlackBerry Passport and I love it but skype doesn't give me notification I have to open skype again n again to check for messages n missed call how can I fix it please help me I have downloaded skype from BlackBerry world n rebooted my phone also even tryed to download skype from play store but it doesn't work with out Google services n that's is not getting download can someone please help me

First off, welcome to CrackBerry!
Please update your profile to include device, carrier, and location. Makes it easier for others to help you.

I'm not a fan of Skype in general, and definitely not on BB10. I've missed a couple conference calls that way too.

The trick is that any time you reboot your BB, you'll need to remember to open Skype once. Then even if you close it you should receive some notifications from it. (Until the next reboot, that is!)

Thank you I have tried it all but nothing is working if I download skype from play store it doesn't work only

The only known way as I'm typing this post is to let your 'Skype' actively open since it is not integrated into hub...

Skype on BB10 is nothing but a bad Android port. To be able to work headless and get notifications through, requires a lot more work and a real dedication. Microsoft lacks all of this.

Beside this, Skype really drains the battery. At least on my Passport. So deleted.

For phone calls you're better suited with BBM or if that doesn't work for your pals, WhatsApp - if security is less of a concern.
