I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I've noticed a few days ago that when I try to record a video, i've no distinguishable sound, but some noise...

I thought initially that there might be a hardware problem, but when I did a voice memo using the Remember app, the sound is as good as always.

Any ideas?

I'm willing to have a go at whatever suggestion could solve this problem.

PS.
I've already done a reset using the volume keys, but no joy.

You could try to sideload the video app via sachesi's. Or try an autoloader which would act like a security wipe. I don't recommend a security wipe as sometimes it hangs and goes on for days if you don't restart the phone by holding the power button. It will erase all your data except whats on the SD card, if that is encrypted unencrypt it first.

Try another video recording app and see if you are having the same issue.

I tried another third party video recording app, but still no joy. It records the video fine, but just as the stock video app, there's just a quiet distorted sound recording. The Voice Recording App still works as expected though...

I'm very puzzled and frustrated about this.
