So I got a passport and updated it.

But I'm still trying to figure how to put android apps on it. It's really confusing and annoying

Just run the Amazon AppStore app on the homescreen and setup an account.

Before going wild and installing a load of droid apps, go through the exercise to find out what you REALLY need. I bet less that five!

Search on yotube : load snap on passport. it works perfectly to load all the apps. The installation of snap requires to sideload it on your computer, thereafter it is like blackberry world.

I fully agree with Stefanbechen! Only use what you need from android and watch the permission requested. A simple flashlight utility which wants full control...
