You did the same thing I did. I never do that, just buy a phone without trying it out, but I love the Passport and I was not disappointed.

It's the best device out there if you have 1) Done your research 2) have decent sized hands 3) are comfortable with the learning curve 4) and are good with the size and the idea of possibly carrying another device for convenience in certain situations.

    That's all I can say.

    Congratulations on your new acquisition.
    Enjoy your Passport.

Sometimes, too much research/information/reviews/opinions are overwhelming and you just have to go with what you like, and what works for you.

I tried one, didn't like but still bought one because I knew it was just a matter of getting use to it. Took a few days but it's fantastic. I can even use it as a phone too now. Felt a bit big at first.

I did the same thing. Read all stories and press articles that blackberry put out before release but never actually saw the device. I'm with rogers so a week after it came out my device came in, I went to the store, opened the box and started to use it. First time holding it, or even seeing it in person. Initial reaction was, WOW, this is big in a different way. Now, I don't think I could go back to a standard size phone. The square screen just makes total sense! Best device I have owned.

    LOL.... love at first site!!

When I bought mine, it was the first time seeing it. I remember the clerks at the store having a "wow" moment.

It was the first time we all saw one in person! And of course we were all impressed.

I had seen so many leaks prior to the official release and remember thinking that it wasn't as big as I thought it would be.

As some mentioned in this thread, I just needed time to get used to it (still am!) I too, at first thought it was huge. It still feels huge in my shirt pocket, to walk around with, etc.
Had to go back to my Z10 for a contact info. Wow, that screen felt small.
