Firstly can't get emails, contacts and calender over to the new PP from my Bold 9900 No matter what I try.I can't believe BB Link doesn't work for this. Just tried BB Protect but it says it can take up to an hour to appear. Over 500 contact so Bluetooth is not really an option I hope to use.

Secondly if BB10 is all about work efficiency then its gone backwards with the Adobe Reader. I get most of my work contacts via PDF job sheets and on the Bold and its 3 predecessors I could open the document and click on "view text" then simply highlight a phone number (software was very intuitive) and hit the dial button to call.

Now I have to open the document, hit open in Adobe Reader, then highlight the number to spread the dots and illuminate the digits and then click on the past icon. From there I have to open the phone app and click to paste in the dial window...soooooo 1990's

There needs to be a call icon in Adobe Reader

    1. Do you get an error message? Do you want to backup the local calendar and contact list or are they linked to a sync account like Google, Yahoo, ...?

    2. Yes, you are right. I think for that we wont get this feature. On the 9900 PDFs are handled and analyzed by the memorable BIS including such specific text information. Maybe Adobe will suprise us?

The adobe thing could be a deal breaker for me on this phone unless I can get a workaround to happen. I wonder if the same thing happens on the Classic?

What happens on Link? It should tell you that Link cannot work with this BB except you want to transfer data from the old device to the new one. If you dont use such calendars like Google, Yahoo it should copy all that you need.

Literally meant for his situation, that link provides the video to how to do it...

    http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2013/...ce-switch-app/

Download device switch on BlackBerry World, on bb10 device.

Download same app by going to deviceswitch.com on old BlackBerry.

That's way too long Imo. Sounds like somethings gone wrong
    ..
If you happen to end up with a bunch of frazzled duplicates etc, reset your device to factory (security wipe, type password wrong 10x or use an autoloader. Make sure device encryption and media card encryption are disabled or the security wipe will take hours and your card will become inaccessible)
Then use the device switch app

It should only took ~ 40 minutes to transfer that much when I did it on a q10
The initial transfer is usually really fast, the processing step usually goes at about 1k contacts/10 minutes in my experience.

I wasn't pay attention when it did my calendar, but that wasn't very long either.

You can fully view a pdf just by clicking on it. If you want to annotate a pdf, you the click on the link to Adobe Reader which is directly at the bottom of the screen.

Regarding emails, calendar, and contacts, all you need to do is add the accounts to the phone, enter your passwords, and then the accounts will synch. Works with Gmail, and Outlook. I don't know about other accounts.

Thanks but annotating a PDF was not the issue. The issue is to dial a number off the PDF efficiently.

My email and calender are native and not synched .....don't trust big brother!!
