when originally starting the Passport the camera had the panorama function as well as the option to change the video setting to 60fps. This is gone now. No idea why.
Anybody here having the same problem?

Did you try to install any leak OS or .bar files??

no leak installed..
bar files a few... could that be the reason?
so delete all bar filed and restart to see if back?

Maybe just hard reboot without deleting bar files, first.

Just curious, wouldn't 16:9 or even 4:3 ratio be better suited for a panorama shot? I'll guess you already tried changing that..

4:3 yields a higher resolution picture, just saying. I know it looks cool when the viewfinder fills the whole screen.

hard reset does not do a change, i will remove the apps and restart... hope that works. if not i will do a security wipe i think...

so i wiped the device, camera is OK and complete now. doing a restore on just minimal apps and it is gone again. WTF... non of the apps are android ones...

It has to be one of the apps. You mention Bar files, are you installing the apps from BlackBerryWorld or sideloading? If you are sideloading, it has to be a problem with the app. I assume BlackBerryWorld would filter out non compatible apps.

Try to change aspect ratio from 1:1 to other. Not sure if it will change anything.

aspect ratio doesnt change a thing. Apps are from blackberry world and via snap... i am right now again resetting and playing back only the files for contacts... hope that works.

only played back the contacts. and still the camera disappears... seems not app related...

having tried over night various attempts i have just synched the contacts with outlook and installed everything else new. No problems now...

Passport is AMAZING in low light! The scene is dim and check this out! Compared w iPhone 6. iPhone came out a bit grainy and dark. Passport wins!

Did you try to change the capturing mode??
Why directly wiping the device? Wiping and restore "with options" does not solve this kind of issue(s)...

Try to make "action" or "white board" in 16:9 for example...

So if you wiped and restored WITH SETTINGS, and the issue returned, then try next time to backup without the settings, so when you restore, you don't get the settings related issues back.

I am sure it is just in the settings of the camera!
For example, on my Q10 still on OS 10.2.1, the stabilsing mode doesn't allow using the flash and there are less possibilities:





I didn't upgrade yet, so I can't really tell what combination went wrong for you.

I upgraded the OS to 10.3.1.1556 and my passport could not capture a panorama picture now.
