When people say the BlackBerry Passport is past its shelf life I always show off how powerful it is by Multi tasking

It's nice because you can run it from the HUB and still see any new notification while using the windowed apps

    It is android
It's multi tasking pro. I have it auto start when my phone turns on then close it. It sits in the HUB. Just tap it from the HUB and you can watch youtube while reading the news and using Google to check stuff on the Internet. And any HUB notifications still show at the top while using it

I run an android app because you helped me fix my passport. Before the autoloader I couldn't install apks anymore.

    Hi,

when I listen to music via the native music player or watch a youtube video via the browser or the youtube app, if I minimise the app, the music and/or video stops.

Should it stop? I suppose that it should continue in the background. Should I change something at my settings ?

    Thank you !

Use desktop mode in your browser, and keep it running in an active frame.

Music player should also continue if you keep it in an active frame.

I have just changed my browser settings to "desktop mode". I run the browser and visited a website. Then I minimised it. Then I run the music app, I chose a track and played it. Then I minimised the music app and the song continued to play. Then I run the youtube app (cobalts apk) and opened a video. When I minimised it, the video stopped. Is it normal? Can you suggest me a web site that continuously changes images to see if the browser still changes the images even if it is minimised ?

    Thank you for your answers.

Use your browser in desktop mode to play YouTube.

Android app is intentionally coded to not allow background play.

Ιs youtube in browser's desktop mode working properly? When I maximize a video, I cannot go back wherever I press the screen (nothing happens).

Standard browser controls. Just swipe down from the top to get out of full screen mode.

Hmmmmm.... I suppose I should go back to school for the basics. And where is this school? I mean, where should I start for the basic things that I don't know?

Thank you again for your answers !

Just close the app it will run in the background.
Now go to the HUB and u will see a notification saying
    ' multitasking pro'

Interesting app. Looks like it can be invoked from any android notification in the hub. Honestly don't see much use for it though but I'll try. What would be really cool is if it could run on PlayBook.

Yes can be called from any android app in the HUB or running Apk

More of a novelty I guess. But it does show that the Passport is very capable. It is using a android runtime to run the multi windows yet is still very fast and smooth

The only time I use it is if I want to watch(listen) to youtube and still read something in the news or Google
