Has anyone been able to run Microsoft Word for Tablet on Passport? I got it to work on my Note 2. But the same apk won't install on my Passport.

I guess I shall reply to my question here. Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint for Android works for Android 4.4 and above. Sadly, the Blackberry Passport runs Android 4.3 yet. So, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint will not work until Blackberry decides to update BB 10 to Android 4.4, which seems unlikely.

One Note seems to work on my Passport. I tried it over the weekend.

In spite of the BlackBerry OS not officially supporting Android 4.4, I can report running the latest version of Office Mobile, version 10.1.1578.4500 on my Passport. For me, this was an upgrade to a prior install through the Snap store, so perhaps a new install wouldn't be permitted. I barely use it, as Docs To Go works just fine and is native, but the upgraded Office app seems to work just fine.

This. I run the paid version Android Docs to Go.

Poor substitute when compared to Office proper.
