Looks like it has been updated. I hope it works as it should now.

It has been updated and it is usable now.
You can set it only apply to certain calendars and statuses.

Still needs improvement but it is usable. What I did was just set the built in calendar for meeting mode and then set a recurring entry for Sunday between 9-12.

I still want the ability to add meeting mode on a per item basis, but this is a useful start.

Hmm, so we have to wait again for another (1) week; (2) month; or (3) year?

It's a feature in your calendar settings and causes device sounds to off completely during your set meeting in your calendar. You can also choose which calendars, and customize device behaviour

I would like for it to allow you to pick a profile to go to instead of having to reset a gazillion settings. That's so dumb.

I just want mine to switch to vibrate, why do they make things so hard???

They do, it is called the meeting mode profile and you can edit it. By default it is silent but you can change it to vibrate if you prefer.

The only thing missing now is the ability to turn it on for particular entries.

You can somewhat. If you set a calendar entry for "free" rather than busy it won't go into Meeting Mode. It goes into Meeting Mode for calendar entries set to "busy" which is the default. When you are creating calendar entries you don't want to be in Meeting Mode just check "free" rather than "busy" before hitting save.
