At least they announce their products to the public , BB just release them without telling anyone (like the Z30) in the hope that the usual idiots will advertise them on blogs (that have really worked out for them lol)

Agreed, you would have to be a box head to think advertising Brand X on a Brand X blog would achieve anything. I'm the type of consumer that buys on my choice of what suits me, not what brand it is or how many other people have one. The iPhone 4 suited my needs in 2007..... iPhone 3 before that and Motorola RAZR before that...

Remember being excited about the soon-to-be-released Bold 9900.
Wasn't a CB follower back then.
Happened to check the bell.ca website one day, got happy it was listed and drove to my local dealer to pick one up. Apparently they had already been out for 2 weeks by that point.
I don't get why there has never been a proper marketing campaign (forget the BB10 TV spots -- I said "proper") surrounding their products.
I don't care if the focus is on enterprise -- decision makers and influencers at companies are humans that read, watch TV, and walk by billboards.
Ever see SAP advertised at the airport on giant billboards? How about Oracle?
Are these ads targeted at consumers??? They are targeted at the people who work in large enterprise and are pondering a decision or vendor selection (or even just inclusion in a bid process)... if you don't seek out mindshare, you will not get it.
Stating that BlackBerry is focusing on the enterprise and targeting their existing BES base is not enough. Drop a couple of $100k and let the masses know you exist -- and that new products are imminent and that BB is still relevant!

That would be a shame for me. My Bold is limping badly and might not make Oct. Im trying to nurse it along as long as necessary, but if it goes I may have to consider other options.
