I have noticed that when I push the top button to unlock my phone, it hesitates or takes a couple seconds before the lock screen turns on. I remember with my Z10 is was almost instantaneous. Does anyone else notice this? Any way to fix it?

Mine does this as well, but only sometimes. When it's bad it's 2 or 3 seconds before the screen wakes up

I just reloaded the OS and it seems to be better. Haven't noticed the delay so far

I actually went back to 2558 and it has been doing it again, quite often the last couple days. Any suggestions? Should I try a different OS or would a security wipe fix this issue?

Go in to Settings - Accessibility - Screen Reader - and disable 'enable screen reader using triple tap'

Once disabled, the screen will lock instantly as soon as the lock button is pressed.

Thanks. I have never seen that feature before, not really sure what it actually does. I did turn off that triple tap so I will see how that goes.

My issue isn't getting the screen to lock though, it is getting it to wake up after it has been locked.

My wife's does this too, but not always. Very annoying and not sure what causes it.

I agree, it is very annoying. I have noticed that sometimes when it does delay, after it opens BlackBerry Assistant is open but I don't use it. I have everything in assistant to be off, so I am I not sure why that is happening. Strange

This has been driving me crazy!! I have fought this thing for over 2 weeks. I thought i had a bad phone and needed to call in for a warranty exchange. I had tried a security wipe and ran the Autoloader again... Sometimes i would have to hold down the power button for 2 seconds and press the up/down volume keys a few times to get the screen to wake. That setting should be disabled by default. I noticed how it says BETA next to it...??

I will see how it runs today!!

My wife dropped her phone a few weeks ago, and had to get a new phone from a broken screen. The new phone and old one both did this. It takes many swipe-ups to unlock. She hates it.

Still no idea why.

Well, I am still having the issue. Not all of the time. I do notice that the backlit keys go off and the proximity sensors, etc stop working.

I did upgrade to 10.3.1.2744. The issue is better but still there. Sometimes have to wait 5 seconds or so for the screen to wake. Very random.

UPdate**. My Passport started to reboot every time I sat my phone down or sometimes picking it up. I called AT&T, they sent me a warranty replacement. I have no issues with sensors, lag or rebooting.

I guess I had a bad phone. All is well now with a full week with the new device. I even did a restore from back up.
