I have a PP shared using with another, I want to lock or hide some of specific apps (e.g.: messaging app, email app) for my privacy purpose - would be the best if I could make apps hidden from the screen, so others can't open those easily.

Can anyone help me with some suggestions on how to deal with?

    Thanks,

Try magic icon from BlackBerry world. It allows you to make icons invisible. http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59942492

Thanks! I just purchased and installed but still have a hard time to make my existing app's icon invisible on screen.

    Can you please help again?

There's not a whole lot of privacy when sharing a cellphone... they're made to be tailored to one individual.

While you can't hide apps, you are able to lock specific types. There are a few in BBW that will accomplish this: App Lock Pro, App Locker, App Lock,DS Pro to name a few.

They function basically the same and it's difficult for me to recommend one over another (yes, I own them all). Probably others as well but those come to mind.

The other creative approach is One App: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59992388 it restricts use of your phone to almost any app. For example, if someone borrowed your phone to make a phone call - that's all they could do.

I also find Privacy Suite Pro an excellent app for sequestering your most personal data. Files, photos and texts can be hidden within the app, but not apps. Just a different approach.

As you've learned the invisible Icon apps are only for offering a way to organize your screens - they have nothing to do with hiding apps.

Concerning Email: Just don't use an app. Use private browser and lock into the account...

For email, download k9 mail and use applock android app to lock it. That's how I protect confidential email.

There are numerous apps both native and Android that can perform this function for you. Do a search in the app store brother.
