    As the title says:

One thing that drains a lot of the battery is when you have location services turned on for every single app, especially apps that don't need such services, for example, amazon, paypal, etsy, etc...

With that said, i've been getting horrible battery life on my passport, but then again, i've only had it for a little under 24 hours (and if this phone is anything like how the Q10 was back when it first launched, then after about 3-5 days, the battery will learn and begin to last for ages, but until then it will continue to suck?)...

Since setup I've been trying to go through and configure all the settings to get maximum battery life. I really don't want this to turn into one of those annoying threads where people are asking me about my settings, so please don't ask, and i'll cut to the chase--I found the app permission section of the settings and it appears that you can not disable location services for apps installed via SNAP. I am running OS 10.3.0.908

If I am wrong in this, please tell me the workaround because I'd love to turn off location services for almost every app minus the maps and weather.

Also, could this be part of the reason why android apps drain up a lot of battery on this OS?

    Thanks!

I have not been using the phone at all either, it was under heavy use while setting everything up (last night) but it was also plugged in and charging then, overnight (on idle/standby) it lost about 35%! that's ridiculous!

It's currently sitting here on wifi.

Is the only way to mess with the permission through "appopslauncher" ?

    Yep
App ops is your solution. Doesn't work for every app though (some apps permissions don't appear in app ops)
