Broken how? I have Waze on my Z30, 10.3.3.x but haven't used it in a long time. BlackBerry Maps has served me well over the holidays when I did a lot of driving, but normally, I don't commute via car. What should I test?

Perhaps you should downgrade? Get Aptoide and fix it

It would give me the route but would stop tracking my movement after a few minutes saying no GPS available.

Google it then download it. It's a third party app store and makes available any version of any app.

    Good luck

Got it. Broke aptoide broke my fitbit app. Had to rollback lol.

Didn't work on waze too. I guess having an old android runtime is beginning to catch up

Am using the version found in Amazon Appstore and it's working perfectly. I believe it's version 3.8.1.

Don't try to use the version in Google's Playstore as it won't work.

I use Waze daily so I know it's still working after the 10.3.3 update.

Ok looks like something wrong with my GPS. Installed 3.8.1 version, which is a way older version of waze and GPS still not detected.

Hi, what version are you using that came from Google Play Store? Did you patch it? I tried the one from Google Play Store before and it wasn't working. That's why I use the one from Amazon Appstore which is working perfectly.

Try running BlackBerry Virtual Expert. Download it from Blackberry world and test your GPS if it is working.

v4.17.0.0. Works perfectly. No need to patch.

When I started up Waze, there was a few crashing problems, but it eventually started up fine. I noticed that I was only on 3.6.0.0. Since conite mentioned the newer release, v4.17.0.0, I updated to it with Google Play Store. After the update, I launched it and it lagged quite a bit as it started up, but eventually it downloaded all the modules it needed and it ran reasonably again. Perhaps a little patience for it to download all the needed modules, like the voice files?

I tried installing from Google Play store ad it won't take it. It just says that it is unable to install.

Waze is a real battery hog; I use the native maps app more and more lately.

Try HelloGPs from BlackBerry World to test it.

Waze is not officially available for Passport but only for other BlackBerry devices.

BBVE has a GPS test. It will show how many satellites it can detect. I just took this screen shot indoors and it couldn't detect any satellites but when outdoors it can detect a few satellites.

Ok. Got my waze (and gps) working again. It was just a screw loose.

One of the screws that's visible when you take out the Sim/sd card cover. Juts tightened it and everything is ok

Do not worry, this is a waze issue and not the android runtime. Wait for next fix or if you can download waze previous version.
