Does anyone know how to stop the keyboard from working during calls? I am constantly muting my calls with my cheek and various buttons are actively sounding while I talk. Very disturbing and embarrassing.

I have purchased an app called PocketSafe on BBWorld and it works really nice, give it a chance.

My fix+PocketSafe = zero proximity sensor issues for me haha, maybe the app fix your problem.

The issue seems to be with the software and the sensor. In my experience if you just wait for the call to connect before you put to your head everything works fine. If you put to your head to early the screen doesn't shut down

Sorry I don't have a solution, but I experience the same problem as you. It can be frustrating! It does seem to correct itself during the call if I take away from my face and then put back on.

Just started to experience this recently, ie, the screen doesn't turn off automatically when I press my ear against the earpiece. What I do is I turn it off manually using the power button.
