    Hi All,

Sorry if this is a silly question, but how do I set keyboard short-cuts to launch apps? Whenever I long-press a key it only prompts me to set a speed dial short-cut, and I can't seem to find how to launch apps using the same method.

For reference, how do I get to the screen on this page? Launch Your Apps with Keyboard Shortcuts | BlackBerry Developer Blog

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With the launch of Blackberry Passport and soon to be launched BlackBerry Classic, one thing is clear; (physical) keyboards are not dead, far from it. For power and productive users like me (nice plug, eh?), I cannot imagine five minutes of my day without keyboard shortcuts. So without further ado, let me introduce one subtle, innovative and mighty feature of BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 – keyboard launch shortcuts for your apps.

    Hi there:
I am sorry but I must be missing something here because I still do not see how I can get to the actual screen to assign a letter key to a particular app. Can you please be specific?

As stated above your post, this option isn't available until the release of 10.3.1....of course you have the option of installing a leak, if not, you will have to wait for the official release which should be sometime in February but be mindful it's carrier sensitive.

You'll need the right OS as this is a recent enhancement. Here are the steps.

    1. From the Homescreen, press and hold a letter & the following dialog will appear:

    2. Select 'Yes' and the following screen will appear. From here, you can decide which type of action you'd like the shortcut to perform:

    3. Select 'App Launch Shortcut' and then pick the app that you want to launch. Done.
