    I want to avoid swiping to get to Apps Screen. Is there any keyboard shortcut to do that.

    I'm afraid not.
    On the Classic, one of the keys (back or end call) might bring you back to the home screen instantly.

    10.3.1 you can assign keyboard shortcuts to open apps, unsure if you can assign to 'open' home page though.
