    So I went through the settings as I am sitting here typing on my Passport with the backlight lit with the room lights on. The backlight is so sensitive and will only shut off if I am outside in bright light. There is no reason for it to constantly light up while indoors with normal lighting which leads to my question... Is there any way to turn the backlight off completely?

    There isn't as much draw on the keyboard back light as other light parts such as the screen or camera flash. Though in normal lighting the light isn't needed it does look nice.
    I'll admit you raise a good point though. Hopefully the battery saving mode in 10.3.1 will have that feature baked in so it reduces the threshold where the keyboard light comes on.

    I want to turn off the keyboard light when I use my passport to read at night because the keyboard background light is intensely bright and makes my eyes hurt.All in all ,I find the keyboard light really annoy me!!Folks,any way to disable it automatically light up?
