I ran across this on BlackBerrys Beta zone. Basically someone at BlackBerry has admit that BlackBerry has dumped BB10.

Interesting to see BlackBerry rep basically admits to BB10 being dumped.-img_20170215_003244.png

We knew this already didn't we? I mean, just look at how many updates the HUB+ Suite has had in just the last two months. BlackBerry 10 hasn't seen that many in the last two years.

On the one hand, I'm excited about eventually moving to BBdroid because of how 'aggressive' they are about it. On the other hand, I'm still sad about leaving BB10 because of all the potential it had..

Funny how all he said was, down to a small team................your point is what. It really shows nothing but I guess it makes people feel better to guess or read into what he said. He realy said nothing new, or anything else.

cnbc this morning showcased BB10 device (look like Q10), "we are the 1% Blackbeery user" (LOL, unfortunately, we are not the super rich 1%). She said it is very addictive ;-). Someone from BB should send her mercury... great ad for free.

They did... about two years ago.

I think updating the Runtime back in 2014 would have gotten more mileage out of BB10 than a newer hardware set. But in the end BB10 was "ended" when Chen took over, he had to cut cost and BB10 development was greatly curtailed.... 64Bit transition and Runtime Development were simply too costly.

Well, not that it's needed but if you want more to add to it... Beta Zone has removed all third-party apps from Beta Zone.

Please note that BlackBerry Dev Zone integration with Beta Zone has been decommissioned, and third-party application beta programs are now closed.

Thank you for participating in these programs, and thank you to BB10 developers for providing early access to their work in Beta Zone!
That's not exactly the sign of a great, robust platform that's going to continue on lol.

Those apps were pretty bad anyway, there was a few worthwhile apps such as WhatsApp but the majority that happened to be in Beta Zone (Third party apps) were really not even worth beta testing.

But if a large amount of developers cared about BlackBerry 10, would they be bad apps? lol. Saying they are bad apps only proves the point even further of no expansive ecosystem.
