Of course I'm nuts! Why else would I want a BlackBerry Ultimate spec'd as such? Pls re-read,...the Solar Charge cells would need to be much larger than a postal stamp!

Sir! This is not about leaving you device on your rooftop to charge. Solar panels will generate electricity in other than direct sunlight conditions,... beit not as efficient. Light enables the solar panel to generate electricity,...thus providing a trickle charge!,....which is better than your BlackBerry just lying there IMHO!

#3 (taller screen) is very desired.

#4 (touch pad) the capacity-sensitive keyboard is already a touchpad.

#5 (classic-style KB layout) 4x10 grid is attractive only for a few millions loyal BlackBerry users. Hundreds millions of potential users' nowadays may need more than typing a few sentences in pure English. They may need, for example, to type in Czech, French or German language, better in their national standard layout! They may need to fill in forms with a lot of financial data. Somebody may need to code in C, some may want to enter formulas in Excel. Not just typing, they want editing support! They need a keyboard with efficient navigation, selection and the quintet cut, copy, paste, undo, redo. They need to see a physical keyboard that looks as efficient as any of billions possible virtual keyboards. For them, a full keyboard with 5x12 grid, and only it, can be attractive.

#6 (longer-lasting battery) very desireable.

I agree that among half dozen current and near future BlackBerry products, Passport is the only one that's potentially attractive in the multi-hundred-million general audience.
