So I dropped my Passport from roughly 5ft onto a concrete step, of course it landed screen down and yes it shattered the top corner and sent spider webs across the top of the of my screen. I checked out all of my options and found a professional who will replace the screen for $30 +cost of the screen. Altogether the bill is about $210.
Prior to dropping my phone, I noticed whenever the screen was on, but black, you could see a few lines of purple. Apparently I have a few dead pixels. When I get the screen replaced will this solve my dead pixels issue?

Depends if you get a new LCD panel or glass panel. For the price you are paying, MAKE sure to CONFIRM with the rep that you are getting a new LCD panel.

Glass panels are cheap- they take the glass off ontop of the LCD (the glass is cracked) with a heat gun. Replace it with new glass and stick it together with glue.

Poorly done & will not last long down the road.

But I wouldn't worry, I doubt anyone would charge you that much just got a glass replace. A new LCD will fix all your issues

Awesome! That makes cracking my screen so much more worth it. I'm assuming it is because when I questioned the price he said he could get it done cheaper but it would last and wouldn't be OEM.
