In the past 6 weeks I've gone from iphone 6. To Classic. To Passport. To iphone 5s. Now I'm back to passport.

Hard to explain the draw of the phone. But I think I'm back for good.

The phone is so good w email and texts. And I love clicking away on keyboard that weakness of phone just don't seen to matter.

Were you tempted with other colors? Or black was the only way to go?

I am running Google play just fine. Camera works fine for me as well. You might want to buy a digital camera.

Welcome back. The Passport truly is a great device, and I agree with you when you say that there's just something about it... maybe it's the form factor in that it's not the same as every other phone out there.

I really do not understand the fuss people make about PP's camera, yes the focus is slow and in low light it can be from Ok to terrible, but other phones don't fare significantly better either. This phenomenon has accentuated lately thinking that people expect DSLR-like quality from any flagship phone.

If taking great pictures means a great deal to you, get a dedicated one.

I switch between my iphone 6 and the passport. Like m both. There is no wrong or right I think. Like both OS as I like Android as well.

I just picked up my second passport at the beginning of the week as well. I had one when they first came out and tried it for a couple of weeks before returning it. At that time I wasn't seeing very good battery life and the Android apps just didn't seem to be working well for me for the ones that I needed, not many, but a few.

Fast forward a few months and I'm in a new job that has me traveling more and the need for a better email tool than my iphone 6 so I thought I would give the passport another shot. So far the experience has been great. I'm using the patched google play services as opposed to snap and the android experience is great. I also learned the need to check device monitor to ensure I don't have a rogue android app killing the battery which may have been one of my issues the first time around. So far the battery life has been phenomenal.

As an example, yesterday I was off the charger from 6:15 AM until midnight. I had almost 7 hours of phone calls using a bluetooth headset, responded to approximately 150 emails and texts and listened to ~30 minutes of music on speaker while working out and still finished the day with 48% battery left. No way I would have been able to do that on either my iphone 6 or htc m8.

Really enjoying the experience so far and since I'm not a huge app user the gap in that space really isn't a big deal. Now I just need to convert more people.
