For those of us who use the Passport as our daily driver, I'm curious what device you would be using if the Passport didn't exist or wasn't available on your network. Would you still be on BBOS10, perhaps the Classic? Maybe you'd give the Priv a chance to bridge the gap between pure BlackBerry and pure Android? Or maybe you'd just go the way of the masses and get an iPhone or another Android device and be done with it?

The reason I ask is I'm trying to figure out if the Passport alone is keeping people faithful to BB0S.

Me, for instance, if it wasn't for the beautiful and uber-productive Passport, I would be on the Priv. I tried and loved the Classic for a while, but if my choices for having a device with a physical keyboard and the Hub was between the Classic and the Priv, I would go with the Priv for speed, apps, a better camera and a bigger screen.

After trying the Passport though, I'm "Back in Black (Silver Edition)" and loving it. This device is unrivaled and I'm personally more than willing to sacrifice a few modern touches for productivity and reliability.

Curious about your thoughts. Thanks for any input.

I would still use my Z10, or maybe I would buy a Z30 for the battery life. I think the Classic would be an option as well.
In fact I would buy 1 BlackBerry Classic and 1 BlackBerry Z30 and use all 3, Classic, Z10 and Z30.

I would be back on my Z10, I still love that phone, the size is perfect and the VKB is great, in fact I might get it out and take it for a spin soon!

The Nexus 5x just makes a lot of sense to me, particularly if I could find it at $250 or $300 for the 32gb version, although I would hate to type on it; a Priv at $350 might tempt me, but I would still prefer the Passport form factor.

Had a Z30 previously, so I would probably still be using it or would switch to a PRIV and keep a Classic as secondary/work device.

I don't know...I'd be very reluctant to go with anything else at this point.

If forced to, I'd probably go with the Classic, or I'd wait until I can get an unlocked Priv from Blackberry at an affordable price. Last resort - if I had absolutely no Blackberry option - would be to go with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

My main phone prior the Passport was my Z30 which is now my backup. I would probably still be using the Z30 and if the PRIV had still come along I would give it a try. I am definitely dedicated to BlackBerry.

I would still be using my Q10. If not then maybe I'll give the Priv a go. But since the Passport exists for now I don't see myself using anything else.

My LG V10 is second to my passport.
If I didn't just drop my passport I'd be on it.

The physical keyboard and BB10 is much better than any Android or iOS.

But the Priv falls much short of the V10. Just like many other devices do.

I will give a try to Priv. Priv would meet my daily operations better. However I am so fascinated to my passport. If it is possible, I will move on back to passport or passport SE.

I'd be using my Classic or Z30. Although I might have been giving the Priv a try. I haven't gotten the Priv because I already have too many devices. And the price.

I just got a Sony Z3 Compact as a backup. It's waterproof, so should hold up well at the beach with the summer approaching. It runs Android 6.0 and reminds me a lot of the Z10 once I loaded up Cobalt's BlackBerry APKs from the Priv.

Things I miss so far from the Passport:
    - Keyboard
    - Play/Pause button when listening to music or podcasts
    - The Passport camera (no fooling. I'm get amazing shots out of the Passport)
    - Reliable Bluetooth pairing (BlackBerry OS 10 rocks at this)
    - BlackBerry OS 10 built-in, native apps
    - Some BlackBerry apps. I'm sure there are Android equivalents, but finding anything decent is like looking for a needle in a haystack

I was thinking that I might move to the Z3 for the summer. It's only been a day or two, but I suspect that I'll be using the Passport as my main phone for quite a while yet. The Z3 makes a decent backup, though.

Boy, Cobalt's packaging of BlackBerry's fantastic Android apps make all the difference for making Android usable for me. I sure wish BlackBerry sold their apps separately from the Priv. I think they'd do well if they opened them up to the broader Android device market. I certainly think there would be demand from corporate clients. Of course, it wouldn't help to keep the device business afloat.

Kudos to the BlackBerry programmers, though.

My next phone will be an iphone. Right now they are too expensive for the big-screened ones, but in a couple years I plan to get a 6 or 6s Plus for a decent price.

Until then I will enjoy my Passport to the fullest. I am in no rush to give this baby up!

For a BlackBerry phone, maybe the Z30. But I'd consider it a step backward.

    Would like to try Jolla.
