Hello all. Two months I'm using iPhone 6+. And I'm no so happy with it. Seriously disappointed. I would like to buy Blackberry Passport. I love this rock solid design. Screen is amazing for emails. But I have some questions. From my previous expierence 10 years ago blackberry hasn't some important apps. I know you can sideload android apps on blackberry now. But will it works? So most important things for me.
    1. Microsoft Exchange / Office 365 Enterprise 1 will works. Sync contacts, email, calendar, notes?
    2. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Lync video calls.
    3. Firefox Browser will work on Blackberry?
    4. Offline Navigation app which works on Blackberry?
    Navigon or Nokia Here?
    5. Youtube (Ads-Free) is there? (I'll be happy if is there an app).
    6. If I have 1080p video should I rescale for 1440x1440 for better view?
    7. Will work 1Password app on Blackberry?

    Yes.

There is a client for Lync and Docs2Go comes built in. You can install Office Mobile if you grab the APK. Dunno about Lync video calls, but you have BBM and Skype.

    3. Firefox Browser will work on Blackberry?
    Android one, yes.

    4. Offline Navigation app which works on Blackberry? Navigon or Nokia Here?
I think I saw people saying Nokia Maps works. There are offline nav apps around.

    5. Youtube (Ads-Free) is there? (I'll be happy if is there an app).
Only third party apps. But the browser is your friend. If you MUST have it, you can hack google play services in and patch the android app to work.

    6. If I have 1080p video should I rescale for 1440x1440 for better view?
    No need.

    7. Will work 1Password app on Blackberry?
    No idea.

    Lol...
You deep in MS aren't you?

Forget everything you know about the BBOS. BB10 matches (and ups the ante) all current smartphones.

You tube works great using the browser
When open, just select "add to home screen", the shortcut looks just like the app and works perfectly.
I like Blackberry Passport but some QA.-img_20150222_170812.png

No. For office stuff use docs to go but it's an amateur apps compared to Ms Office. You can get Ms Office mobile apk and install it. But couldn't guarantee the perform. And no Lync.

there is nokia store for android, you can install it. But the maps is restarting frequently

    5. Youtube (Ads-Free) is there? (I'll be happy if is there an app).
    I dunno

    6. If I have 1080p video should I rescale for 1440x1440 for better view?
No. The video will be scaled fit in screen. If it isn't 1:1, the other side will be filled with black.

    7. Will work 1Password app on Blackberry?
    I dunno

Oh.... I didn't recall that it was pre-installed.
What happens if you accidentally delete it? Where would you recover it?

    Sorry to jack the thread

MindLink is the app for Lync, haven't used yet but it's the only app for it in BlackBerry World.

The android version of lync 2013 works, I did have some issues getting the calendar to sync but had an issue with my android tablet as well. Voice and video calls work.

I'm not quite so sure it's the only one.

BlackBerry Enterprise IM - BlackBerry World

Also, Google Play has Lync, so you can get Snap and have Lync with video calls.

I'll agree if you mean MS Office XP/2003/07/10/13, but Office Mobile is just a bad.

You nailed it: It's agreat APP. Our fellow forum member was dishing on Docs2Go, but fact is both apps are pretty much on par. There are things BOTH cannot do.

    Hi
For question 5, there is a YouTube app for BlackBerry called Fastube. It works very well and also you can preload videos for later offline viewing. As its names implies, it is fast. Faster than my iPad YouTube app.
    Cheers
