So what is the best way to transfer your data from your old device to your shiny new Passport ?

Link, Device Switch App, Bluetooth ?

Which method has proved successful and hassle free in particular coming from OS7 ?

Any Tips and Tricks to get the best results would be appreciated.

Or is it best to just set the thing up from scratch and get your contacts in by synching with your email and put anything else you need on your SD card ?

Use Device Switch if coming from OS7 moving to BB10. Simple and fast.

How did you move your contacts over ?

I can't find a way to save them to SD card.

Smooth sailing on moving everything over. Amazon and Twitter are giving me problems though, can't remember my user name or password

Contacts will be saved in your SD card when you use Device Switch. Once you put your memory card in your BB10 device, you click transfer data and voila, there's your contacts.

I made sure my contacts , calendar and emails were synced with outlook then did a fresh install of everything else. Most of my documents etc were saved on my SD card so it was really easy!

Your unit has already a device switch application. It's located in the setup apps.

Just a bit of advice tho kk. Use the device switch feature in BlackBerry link on your pc BUT DO NOT transfer application data or you risk messing up the os. Uncheck and only transfer calendar contacts and settings only. Just an observation I've made over the years and having done device switching alot.

Contacts and calendar are automatic since they're saved with Gmail. Memos are automatic as well with memo pad / Evernote. That's just about the data I need to transfer in my case and no need for any device switch. Same method from 9700 to 9900 then to zed10
