Brilliant! This is for sound when pressing numbers on phone pad. Where is that again?

If I'm in normal profile, phone pad makes sounds. In vibrate only or silent, for example, the tones don't emit.

Weeell no! That makes sense! But I guess what you are saying is there is no way to turn off phone pad keypress sound except to go through every profile for every app except phone and turn sound on. .....REALLY???

It's as you said: a profile which doesn't have sound, such as silent or vibrate, will turn off all accessory sounds, such as camera shutter and phone dial pad.

It makes sense, and no reason why not, in my opinion. If you need to quietly dial you most likely do not want your phone to sound off a notification ?

Well if you are in a room with others answering inquiries that come in, it would be nice to dial quietly. I am the only one making noise when dialing. And yes I want to hear notifications while doing this .

I guess it is a simple bug at the moment, I really can't imagine why the sound would be so loud otherwise. Currently the only way to avoid the sound is by changing profile to either silent, vibrate or at least something custom which prevents it.

Maybe there is a fix already in those leaked 10.3.2 versions?

I'm not sure I understand. Who exactly are you answering using the phone dial pad? Are you talking about this?
How do I shut off the phone pad keypress sound when dialing numbers?-img_20150423_145813.png

    Or something else?
if you're dialing a number I'm assuming it's to call the person isn't it?

Dialing a number using the number pad results in a way too loud sound of the numbers you hit, which is pretty annoying, especially in public, yet rather silent areas. As of now you always have to switch to silent or vibration profile in order to dial discreetly.

I did what was suggested. Created a profile with sound off, then went to individual apps and turned sound on. This works as long as you are in that profile. Thanks
