    Hi!
    My Passport its with no GPS Signal.
    It detects a spot near my house, but when I drive, it get's stuck.
    I guess he is doing triangulation with the signal towers, and no gps signal.
    I did use a app that trys to detect gps satellite, and nothing, it worked at first the navigation, when I Both the unit, then the gsm chip broke, and after that, no gsm signal, even offline (genius gps app).

    I did a hard reset and nothing, Im mad!
    The phone with out gps its nothing now days.

    I have the last update from the bb OS.

    I question: the gps can work with out a gsm chip?

    Please Help meu Out....

    GPS should still work without Sim card.

    Have you tried BBVE to help troubleshoot your device?
    Are satellites identified ?
    You've noted that you're on latest OS...which one specifically...you may need to reload OS with BB LINK.

    with BBVE the gps signal was reproved...I stayed 3 minutes trying to catch the signal outside my office...

    the version is 10.3.2.2836, the locaction services it's on....

    thanks Lusa...what can it be?

    Passport its a great unit, but sims the use cheap components to assemble it

    I did agin the test on bbve and detected 2 satellites....not more then this...
    and it's hard to get out from 0

    OK, if you are using "cell tower GPS" (which isn't real GPS) you need a cell signal. Otherwise, have you tried running an app called "GPS Status"? It's an Android app ported over and avail on BB World. It will often "wake up" your real GPS.

    hi! i have a cell sign, i broke a pin on gsm card, and got fixed. I dont have data , only wifi
    I will install this program and downgrade de os ...to check out what happen

    This thread is two and a half years old and many apps have been removed from BBWORLD so it's probably one of those that have been taken off.

    If you're GPS isn't working I assume you have tried the other suggestions here and you need it, it may be time for a new phone unfortunately.
