One of my concerns in switching to a Passport, or any non 16x9 device would be how apps scale, or even app support with apps like NFL Mobile that never made it to the Z30 even. How are apps written to 16x9 scaling on the Passport, and what does it look like when the device is connected to a 16x9 TV via the slim port setup.

I have a Pioneer AppRadio that my Z10 works pretty well with too so if any of you have a Passport working with the AppRadio I'd like to hear the results of that.

The "Play On" feature is the only way to get it full screen, which needless to say is an issue when using an android app like netflix which does not have this option...instead, it appears very small on the tv/monitor. That is one downside, but not a huge deal for me as i usually just use my wife's Z30 to stream netflix when we're watching tv!

From my tests in store, couldn't get The Simpsons Tapped Out to work due to scaling issues, but things like Temple Run 2 ran just phenomenally! Scaled to use the entire full screen and it just looked beautiful!

Overall I believe the Passport will scale apps better than the Q10 since it has a higher resolution display. I found on the Dev Alpha C (Q10), Android apps will appear squished due to lack of space.

Simpos tapped out doesn't work even on a z30. The game is so broken. There are even errors when I play it on my ipad.

Hmm, too bad, given all the pixels in a Passport screen, that they can't at least "fake" a decent sub-HD 16:9 format hdmi/slimport output image. I mean, you can definitely render a 720p (1280x720) image out of a subset of the Passport's 1440x1440.

I have it working on my Z10... sort of... it will work in the first 20 minutes of rebooting, but after that it crashes and won't work again until I reboot again and even then it barely works... lol
