Just curious about what everyone thinks about the Passport's battery life. I'm ordering one tomorrow, and I want to make sure that it won't fail me like my classic. Good or bad reviews are welcome!

I'm not that impressed with it myself. I don't see myself getting 25 hrs of usage out of it but it's way better than iPhone.

I can honestly tell you that I have gotten more than 35 hrs on my passport with heavy use as well. Using youtube, looking at social media and taking vids and pics. I am satisfy with the battery. Hope you find it satisfying as well! Enjoy!

I just returned my passport. Had a classic too. Noticeable better than classic. The battery is a major plus for phone.

It will range from one day to 3 days depending on multiple factor. Heavy usage. Gps use. Display brightness. Wifi vs mobile data. As for me, it only last me for a day of use. I consider myself a heavy user, and I am mobile. I use gps(waze), I use mobile data more often than wifi. Since I mostly work out in the sun, thus my display is set above the middle.

There are too many threads on PP battery. The answer is still going to be the same. Heavy usage: one working day. Normal usage: 2 working days

absolutely, no matter what I do, i find it very very difficult to kill battery in one day. I have to stream flash content/sport games for few games in a row.

My battery life isn't great. The current average battery life is around 12 hours, and I can't figure out how to improve it.

Depends on the day and usage, for sure. I consider myself a high drain user - backlight maximum, Google Maps navigation, web browsing, podcasts, camera/photos...

A full charge will get you through any day. There are some days you will go to sleep without charging and find enough juice to get to work and put it on the charger.

It's hard to compare the battery life in the Passport to (my last phone) a Samsung Galaxy. With the Galaxy, I would have to disable a lot of features like GPS and wi-fi in order to preserve battery life. With the Passport, I can leave things like GPS and wi-fi on all the time without worrying. So the battery life is a lot longer than the Galaxy was. But if I babied the Passport the way I used to baby the Galaxy, it would be A LOT longer, if you get my drift.

When I transition from a Z10 to Passport should I expect at least double the battery life with 'reasonable usage'?

With some adjustments: I keep SOT minimal, LTE is switched to 4G since my carrier coverage can be spotty, the only two other connections I use are WiFi and Bluetooth when streaming to a BT speaker, so I get decent battery life out of Z10STL100-3/10.3.2.680; if I don't swap the battery midday from 'heavy usage' I can wait until the next morning to do a battery swap because of 'disabling wireless connections' in bedside mode.

It's pretty good. I take it off the charger every morning (around 7:00 am) and have anywhere from 20-40% left by the end of my day (around 11:00 pm).

I have no complaints. I had complaints about the Z10 and Q10. I do not have the same complaints about the passport. I was always the hardest hit while roaming in the US on AT&T. With my passport, I can easily get through a heavy day.

If I'm in Canada, I can get home and still have 60% left.

Even so, they are some apps - like Google maps that such the hell out of your battery. Just watch out for those.

If you're experiencing bad battery life, after letting it settle, it could be the OS install. I have no clue why it happens sometimes but things can get wonky. Reload the OS and it might fix it.

Had extremely high PIM services and couldn't figure narrow it down, so I used an autoloader and I'm all good now. With light-ish usage I'll end the day >50%, medium 30%, heavy ~15%.

I have yet to kill the battery in a normal day.

Its all about the usage. I can go all day and still have 70+% by bedtime, but only if I barely use it. Then there are days when I beat the crap out of the internet, and I have less than 20% by bedtime.

I came from a Z10 with 3 extra battery packs to get through one day, so I'm more than happy with its performance. Still can't get used to the placement of the "0" key. It just doesn't make sense! Best phone I've ever used though...not even close.

I average about 35-40 hours per charge with very mixed usage. During the day 7am -4pm I listen to the radio and occasionally check social media sites. 24/7 email activity and about 80% of the time on wifi. At home around 5pm until 11pm I often stream YouTube videos at or near maximum volume and BBM/Whatsapp/text msg. Only using lucky patcher to rebuild apps several times or long road trips using waze or BBM maps do I ever see any real battery drain. Typical day leaves me at about 60-70% battery before bed from a full charge.

I'm going to say approximately double, I don't know about exceeding double. When I had a Z10, I would need to swap battery in the afternoon after heavy use. My typical day with the Passport (max brightness, lot of screen time) leaves me with ~30% when I'm home from work.
