I bought my Passport unlocked on Amazon around Feb and put a T-Mobile US SIM card in it. It came with version 10.3.0.x. When 10.3.1 was released, I got an OTA update within a few days of the announcement, which was awesome since T-Mobile US doesn't even carry my phone anymore. So it must have come from Blackberry.

However, that was the last update I received. My Passport is currently on 10.3.1.1779, which isn't anywhere near the 10.3.1.2x people are sporting now. I don't want to use a leaked version because last time I did that, the BB SDK couldn't find the correct debug symbols, so I couldn't develop on it anymore.

Blackberry Link, Settings->Software Updates, and the Web Update site all tell me that I have the latest version.

So is 10.3.1.1779 really the official latest version? Or am I going about updating my device the wrong way?

Yes I believe you are 1 update behind. Have you tried searching for it OTA? Swipe down from the home screen, click settings, then Software Update, then Check for Updates. Also try plugging in to BB Link.

Turn off the device. Pull the SIP, turn on and then do the check for an update. Repeat the check 2-3 times. That's what I had to do for my unlocked Z30 on T-Mobile.

Wow...I am speechless. "OS Version" is literally right under "Software Release" in Blackberry Link. I'm on version 10.3.1.2576

I think software release relates to the whole package of the software suite in terms of native apps, while the OS version is just for the plain OS itself.

Elsewhere there are leaks of 10.3.2 but also some warn about bugs... I will wait for a non-destructive OTA for my unlocked passport...

Just for your information, official updates via your phone do not happen every three months or so....maybe one every 8 mths. Plenty of leaks though...

The '10.3.1.1779' is actually the latest official release. The '10.3.1.2x' however is the latest official leak...

As we know, you can complain with the 'official release' but you can't with the 'official leak'... ;-)

When I have the same problem I just load the leak using sachesi :P
There's a crackberry thread here somewhere with links for 10.3.1.2708 which runs great on my PP compared to previous version
