I normally use two hands, but when I do use one hand, I rely more on flick typing on my z10.

My question is, if I use the flick typing feature on the Passport, has anyone mastered this method one handed? Or is that even possible without huge hands?

One hand all the time. Way faster and more comfortable with two though.

Yes, I can! Not overly comfortable when trying to stretch my right hand fingers to the left side of the keyboard. I can fully use the device in one hand too.

Did it with this post but I was wobble, slower and can clearly see how one can accidentally drop the phone.

Yup. Bit of a stretch for thumb but just for ****s and giggles and to make a point I just typed this one handed with my left hand and I'm right handed.

You can type one handed by holding the device sideways. Try it. Am typing with one hand at the moment.

Like everyone is saying, it's possible and works enough for the odd time I'm one handed. Prefer two hands though

I have large hands and it's just about not large enough to hold the passport in one hand and to properly use it AND not dropping it!

It is fairly easy to use one-handed when you let your passport lay on your little finger (little finger horizontally) and support it with your other fingers behind the passport. It is hard to explain

I have average size hands, but this way I am able to write pretty easily one-handed with passport.

Finnberry has it right. If you have large enough hands, and figure out that hold, you can do it.

It's nowhere near as fast or comfortable as you'd hope, and if you tried it while walking or something, it could be dropped.

Certainly no one-handed behind-the-back or at-your-side blind accurate typing like on the Q10.

Yeh, I think I'm going to differ from most of the posts in this thread. I actually do have large hands, but I still don't like one-handing this monster. Put a Seido (or any other) case on it and you might as well marry yourself to two-handed typing. IMO, it's too heavy, the keys are too hard to punch, and it's too slick/awkward to do one handed without dropping. For the same reasons, I don't 'swipe' much either.

It's a trade-off (swiping for power/viewing), but one I'm okay with considering the keyboard experience.

It's possible, but barely, for me.

What saves me is the flicking. I don't have too big of hands though, so I'm sure it would be easier for someone with bigger hands.

Yes, its very easy to do, if you do the above. Put your pinky fingerjust below the bottom of the phone below the space bar to support the bottom (where the usb and speakers are), then support the back of the phone with your ring, middle, and index fingers. From that hold, you should be able to get everything down with your thumb, and like others said the flicking of the predictive text works great - especially given how great your Blackberry gets at getting used to the words and phrases you use most. My blackberry taught me that I say "thanks for the heads up" all the time, because to complete that sentence, all I have to do is type one letter (the T) and it predicts and completes the rest of the phrase in 5 seconds. Thats efficiency. I use this method 80% of the time and it makes me a more productive and efficient person in the world - precisely what BB intended. Try it, love it, live it. Haha

I second that. The Q10 is the best for pumping out text. Imagine, a Q10 with the passport internals... dreamy...

It is working but it's very slow. It will help you if you put your Device sideways.

Don't use your Passport for Texting While Driving! Don't even try one Hand!

I barely can do so with one hand. If I do, my hand tends to hurt even if I take advantage of the flick typing. So it's 2 handed 95% for me.

Yes. I wrote this all with one hand. I don't do it often but decided to do it here. The double tap on the capacitive keyboard does come in real handy for editing.
