Ultimately, I think it just means that all people who leave iOS have regrets. That said, given time to adapt and the Passport and BlackBerry 10 are amazing! Give it time and utilize it's advantages. Enjoy your new device!

apps aside, bb10 is as easy to learn as ios, neither have an app drawer and both are fairly light on customization, mostly just wallpaper changes

Well it's good for some and bad for others. I think what he meant was you'll have some adjustment period, during which you'll have to learn about the gestures, the keypad, etc. You'll also have to do extra things to get your old iPhone apps' Android versions running--install Snap, Cobalt's suite of Google Play Services hacks, etc. You might also have to adjust when it comes to iMessage and FaceTime, both of which only work on iOS devices. I suggest you start using BBM now. Lastly, your new BlackBerry Passport will surely attract attention from people. Lol

If you are heavily dependent on apps, BlackBerry is not really a good choice... other than that, BlackBerry Passport rocks!

Be patient an you will find ways to enjoy the phone. BlackBerry doesn't have a wide selections of app like iOS so make sure your app expectation is low. Other then that BB10 is amazing.

Not sure about the customization, as I'm not a Passport user, but pretty confident it has much more in it as opposed to simply changing the wallpaper.

If everything goes well with the build quality. I have noticed many things among users like: screen lifting, double typing, keyboard build problems.
I have received a unit with the defective middle part of the touch keyboard. Then I got the new one and I can't say it's perfect: letter E is a little lifted, and the volume up and down keys are completely different. One is more responsive, clicky and the other is much tougher. Can't understand why.

Performance wise, you sorted. The only thing you will need to get used to is the Width of the phone. But will soon adjust

Congrats! I'm thinking getting Passport as well but don't have enough money yet. Don't want two years contract with AT&T! I like unlocked device since software upgrade is coming from BlackBerry itself.

App gap is only a problem for a very small number of people and apps. All the ones I've tried on my Passport through Snap work flawlessly and very smoothly. I haven't had one single app not work. I guess it all comes down to which apps you need.
