Could any one please help I need to find a suitable google play services version to run google maps and snapchat on my passport, every time I use these apps I get this annoying message telling me my phone is not eligible to run them or that I need google play services which is not available for this device
This is my phone software, I would really appreciate your help as I need to use google maps in less than an hour
    Thanks in advance

You can't run Snapchat, but you can get Google Play Services going if you follow this thread:

Snapchat... for security reasons has really cracked down on 3rd Party or "Hacked" in any way Apps that access their servers.....

If you look there are some work arounds that will work for a time.... but you could end up having your account locked.

It doesn't look like he's using a 3rd party or hacked app. Isn't he just installing the official Snapchat app and running it with Google Play Services installed on his Passport? I don't use Snapchat, but I'm just trying to understand why it wouldn't work if Google Play Services are installed.

It's not a Google Services issue. Sign in is being blocked at the source.

I don't know why so many people are so quick to say "OMFG NO SNAPCHAT!! ABSOLUTELY NO WAY" when they haven't obviously tried it. I had it running fine for a couple months without any issues. I'm not sure how old my Google play services or version is, and I forgot the SNAPCHAT apk version.

But it IS possible and I didn't get banned.

I too forget and get lost in the Cobalts instructions everytime. It will work, so good luck!

And how does the "source" determine disingenuous logins if the official app is used. I'm still confused here.

Snapchat app reports the device it's running on. As BlackBerry is not supported, you get blocked sooner or later.

How can you get lost In reading just one post? Everything you need to know is in the first post of my Landing page thread. You don't have to read the rest.

It doesn't get any easier than the instructions in the very first post. I have been using your stuff for nearly a year and can't complain. Thanks for all your hard work.

I've followed the instructions exactly as posted and I still get the error message that Google Play Store has stopped working and the app closes. When it does stay open and I try to do anything in the app it closes. I have the Passport with software 10.3.2.2836.

For Snapchat, you're going to want to do a Google search for software version 9.2 as it is the version currently working for BB10. The one from the Google Play store willl NOT work with BB10 until the android run time is updated.

    v9.2 is now cut off.

v9.5 is the oldest you can go now, but it doesn't allow you to sign in.

The temporary workaround window has been closed.

BBM snapchat for $1.00 a month. BB maps is good enough on Midwest interstates and turnpikes and rural areas if a cell tower is close enough. No problem in my life.
