I'm wondering if we get the good battery life in the Passport is caused by the fact that there are not much app and games we can install on our passport, hence we use our device lesser and this result in the battery last longer. Those iPhone and Android users they have plenty of app and games that they can play with on their phones, so they tend to play with their phones more often and hence the batteries die faster.

If this is the case, the good battery life in the Passport is not really something that I will proud of..

Or it could have something to do with the battery being rated at 3,400 mAh.

IPhone 6 has 1810 mah battery and passport has 3650 mah battery and that makes a HUGE difference! My passport battery lasts 2 1/2 days have quite a few apps on it

I previously owned Z10... applying your 'view' on that Z10 makes it the worst BlackBerry devices in terms of battery life...

I have 5 pages of apps, mostly android and the phone takes heavy use both work and play and the battery life is great.

Actually I don't see any improvements in battery life in bb10, passport can last 2-3 days because it has higher capacity.
My z30 battery lasts 1 day for daily use (wifi and data connection, without gaming). But my sister's z3 compact (2600 mAh) can last for 1 1/2 days for personal use (for chatting, data connection, and some simple games). All I could see, android has improved their weakness specifically in kitkat updates. Maybe more improvement has implemented in lollipop, that is the thing I couldn't see in bb10.

There are plenty of things in life to be proud of. Good battery life on your device is not one of them! Just enjoy your great phone, use its superior battery life to your advantage, and stop worrying about everyone else's phone.

So by OP's reasoning, androids and iphones are rubbish because they have too many apps.

Good to know I made the right choice then.

Furthermore, for the purposes of poking fun at OP, I propose we ignore the fact that BB10 devices have more apps available than any android device.
