On topic: this is very useful information. Makes getting this flip shell a good investment.

As a general point of order: Bla1ze, seeing you casually lay out 3 types of Passport makes me envious to a mind aching degree. I reckon I would be less jealous if you would post a picture of yourself in a sunny pool with 10 naked pornstars.
Fairly certain of that. But there is only one way to be sure.

I call social experiment! Must be a budget for that...

Funny how they post that it wouldn't work with other Passports. So Thank you for this thread.
As you all probably know, the case fits VERY snug with the actual Silver Edition. Anyone know the best way to take it off? My nubby nails are all now chewed off just trying to get the case off! Also afraid of damaging my Passport and/or the case.

I was successful only once so far! There's got to be a smoother way of getting this thing off? Any suggestions? Thanks.

No way! BlackBerry said it doesn't fit the OG Passport. Great! I really want that flipcase for my OG Passport. I use the oem flipcase with the adhesive backing but I want to use my Passport without the case, but it's not handy to get it out the flipcase and stick it back in all the time. The silver edition flipcase is just great.

But does the flash line up? The flash appears to be located higher up on the SE

No, sadly it doesn't I checked after I saw you mentioned it and edited the original post to reflect that. But I personally rarely ever use Flash so, it's going to vary if that's a concern for folks I suppose.

I hope the pictures aren't doing it justice because to me my OEM black passport leather flip looks more stylish than that (not in the original posters pictures the ones in the ad for the case) ( and yes it does close lol). Still I'd like to see one in real life just to compare,
I'd of thought the black Pp smaller chim would make it not as secure as on an SE.

Blaze, does the flash line up properly when using the AT&T Passport in the Leather Flex Shell?

Nah. Basically the Flex Shell is just a flip case with no front. It's identical on the back in regards to the layout. Apologies for the oversight, honestly never even noticed until it was mentioned.

Yeah....just waiting for someone to try that.

Who wants to drop their Passport first?

The top brackets are the easiest to work from. To remove the very snug case:
    1. Use your thumb to push the longer edge of the bracket away from the device while simultaneously using your other hand to lift the device out.
    2. Repeat for the second bracket. (You really shouldn't have to use your nails for either bracket)
    3. The device should slide right out.

Funny how this is needed to remove a case. I agree, the case is a hassle to remove. I haven't found exactly an efficient way to do it but starting from the top is definitely the way to go. So is the initial sim/sd card cover. I thought I was going to rip a nail taking that thing off.

I figured it was just me. On one hand it is good to know the device will never slip out of the case accidentally.
On the other hand, a quick release would have been cool.

The door for the SD-CARD/SIM wasn't too bad in my case. That little door did make think why couldn't the whole back come off and have a removable battery underneath? Yeah, I'm that guy. After a year or more of recharging a battery, it doesn't seem to hold the same charge. (Though, granted, I have more apps a year later than I do when I start). A fresh battery does the trick though for a longer charge and then you have a backup battery too.

I know this is an old thread: but when the SE Passport is laying face up with the cover closed, does the cover actually stay closed?? Or does it start to lift up on its own like the leather flip covers for the original Passport?
