No release date, I would think within a week as they'll most likely ship it from their UK store. Hopefully! can't wait :-D

Australians always pay more for just about anything. I think Optus was considering it for business customers too

I just ordered now from amazon US. It is only $730 oz with priority shipping. Say no to the Australia tax

I agree with you, we always get the short end of the straw. I've accepted the price based on how long our local providers take to get new BlackBerry devices plus work pay for my SIM.

Our local providers annoy me with their iPhone and Android sales tactics!

I remember buying an iPhone for over 1K and this Passport purchase will be well worth it in comparison and at least software updates won't slow down the device forcing you to get the new one! Hate that mentality!

I take it that there is no anticipated date of release for the pre-orders

Nothing yet, it does say in stock on the Expansys UK site so I'm just guesstimating off that. Will let you all know once I receive email updates.

Buying from Clove in the UK or Amazon when they recieve further stock will set you back $750 - $780 depending on your shipping options..

You could always try walking into your local JB Hi-Fi or Telstra shop ask if they have a BlackBerry, get laughed at and then proceed to have an iPhone 6 to you :-P

Do they ship to NZ? Pretty sure they'll charge you GST when it crosses the border. Please supply link if possible.

    Hey everyone!

Have randomly found a Sydney stockist that allegedly have the black AND white Passport in stock. $770!

I am waiting on a response to see if it is actually legitimate.

It is! However a tad more expensive. They said black is in stock and white maybe in the next shipment this week!

I'm too damn impatient, i'll see what Expansys update me with and take it from there.

BlackBerry really need to sell these devices direct to the public or have a much better outsourced logistics set-up!

$770 seems like a decent price. Mine should be here Friday from Amazon for $700 but I won't have the Australian power charge and will need an adaptor.

The description on the site is rather insulting to the company.
