I usually want to see my email/texts first thing when I unlock phone.

What's the fastest way to do this from a locked phone?

    I concur with Bb8900.
Swipe or press the power button, swipe up to display main page, press the little envelope on the screen to be directed to the Hub... or wake up phone and long hold the letter M as this is a shortcut to the hub...

Long holding the letter "M" doesn't do anything on my Passport. It's programmed to Launch Hub but it doesn't work. Anyone else notice this issue with 10.3.2.2204 ? Don't think it worked in previous versions either.

The time it takes to press and hold the M for it to launch is longer than pressing the envelope

Actually I'm having problems launching the Hub with the keyboard shortcut. I deleted the icon from the home screen because I found it useless since I could just swipe. Maybe that's why.

It works when your not in an app or Webpage.
You have to be on the home page, or any other page ...

There was a previous thread regarding the convenience keys - it would be great to have these back as an option

Actually there is a little Envelope on the tools bar on the Passport
I blurred the photo a bit to give the envelope and pages more emphasis.

I switch it up between these 2 methods, and I don't use a lockscreen:

U+Enter wakes device and unlocks, swipe up and to the right in one fluid motion takes you to hub

Swipe up to unlock, swipe up and to the right in one fluid motion takes you to hub

I'd say less than 2 sec for each method. Never used the little envelope or page indicators much, but I may try.

And if you looked in my signature you would've seen that I'm using a Passport. Been using the envelope icon ever since they introduced it. Easiest way by far to me to get to the hub.

M for hub doesn't work if you delete the hub app thing that comes pre installed. You can get it from BlackBerry world if you deleted it.

That's why it doesn't work. I always delete the Hub shortcut from my Home Screen. Re-installed shortcut from BlackBerry World and it works now. Thanks for tip!

Get into the habit of leaving the hub open when you're putting it down or locking it. When you unlock it, the hub will be right there.
