I missed my Passport so much I decided to order one this morning for myself.
Question, though... does anyone use the Amazon Music app on their phone and does it work well?

I don't right now, but I used it a while on my Classic and it just worked fine, even with the button controls. So it should work flawlessly on your PP! By the way, my SE is also waiting forme when I return from my travels

Yes, use it frequently on my Classic. Picked up the annoying habit of filling the Hub with notifications about requiring Google Play Services when I installed Cobalt's solution, however.

Streaming poor quality mp3 seems like a waste of the Passport's audio capabilities. Why not rip a few CDs to .wav, stick them on your Passport, get Neutron player, some good earbuds and memory foam tips and see what it can do when unleashed?

That's the reason I deleted the app afterwards...hahaha

Also: streaming music online and via and android app - just in emergency...

Interesting that u also use earBUDS and memory foam tips - BEST! Which earbuds? Used to love Sony MDR-E818LP, but they're not made anymore :/

Can't beat Westone. If you don't wanna spend that kind of money on what is essentially a disposable item though, there are plenty of decent cheaper options. Betron have some ok ones, also Sennheiser, Symphonized, MTX et al. I keep seeing what looks like exactly the same design from a number of different manufacturers, guess there's a licensing or rebranding deal going on somewhere.

It's worth keeping an eye on Amazon lightning deals, there'll be something suitable on there before long.

I must be missing something, here. When I go through Amazon's app store, "Amazon Music" comes up as a search option, yet, when I select it, the app is not in the list.

Where have those that are using it successfully, finding it?

I use StereoTube to get my music. I find songs I like on 8tracks and then download them using StereoTube. This is one of the single most important apps in BB10 that keeps me from wandering. Amazing app
