Edit: Would it be wiser to use the Z30 (850mah) charger or the Passport's (1300mah) charger on both the Passport and Z devices?

Trying to cut down to one charger.

Is the "BlackBerry Premium Charger" at 1800mah really worth it? This was suggested to use for all BB10s.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't use the Passport charger to charge the Z10 or the Z30. However I am using the Z10/Z30 charger to charge the Passport.

I use the passport charger for my Z30 and it seems fine, charges quickly enough and doesn't get hot or anything

Using the higher powered charger for all devices should be fine. When you look at the situation differently, the car charger from blackberry is 1.8Amps and its for all devices. So then the logic would have it that the household charger issuing the same power would be perfectly fine

Thanks for the feedback. I have been using the Z30 850 charger for both, but even looking at shopblackberry they sell two wall chargers for North America. The regular at 1300 and the premium at 1800. The premium charger looks like the PB charger everyone refers to. I know many use this as their charger.

Just not sure if I could justify the price considering I have a brand new Passport charger which seems the same as the "regular" charger shopblackberry is selling for North America. In the back of my head I'm thinking about the premium charger which kinda goes against everything I've read for lithium ion batteries, but many here seem to use this as their only charger.

Just wanna use one charger lol... seems the Premium one is "the best" ehhh. Especially if you go by you get what you pay for lol.

I have always used the 1.8 A version, car and wall, for all my BlackBerry devices including my last BlackBerry, a Z10, without any ill effects.

Update: Just charged the Passport with the 850 charger from the Z30 as I have been using and it is slower than the 1.3 that comes with the Passport, but in a 74 F room, the hottest temp was 85 F.

Will try the Passport charger next time and update with the difference. By that time I may have the 1.8 charger as I'm still contemplating purchasing this since I'm really trying to just have one charger for the Passport and Z30.

As from shopblackberry the 1.8 charger is the premium charger and universal for all BlackBerry devices. Just wasn't sure on using a higher amp charger on the Z30.
