I have a z10 but if I were to buy a passport would I have to purchase the apps again? I would no longer be using the z10 and obviously could only get the app if it were available for the passport. Is there any way to check if the apps I use are available for the passport, all are from BlackBerry World? Thanks.

Nope just use your BlackBerry id. So far all the apps I purchased from my z10 work fine on my passport.

What is that?! That my friend is my BlackBerry Passport.

Use the same BBID and you will see all the apps you bought for your Z10. If they are available for the Passport you will know...

The good news: you just go to BlackBerry World "My Apps & Games" and go to "Available" and re-download them

The bad news: many of the developers of these apps are asleep at the wheel and for whatever reason, have not updated their apps for the best selling BlackBerry in a very long time.

Why this is, I don't know. But some apps will appear a bit wonky, like only the left half will be displayed, or parts will appear stretched. It's disappointing to say the least. It's not like the Passport was some surprise device.

Sorry if that comes across as negative, but it's the truth, and since no one else told you, I figured I would.

If you get any app issues, try contacting the developer. I did this with Devil's attorney on the Z30, it was wonky. Two days later they brought out a fix

    Worth a shot

If the developers don't respond, or you can't be bothered,.. just download Sachesi from BlackBerry World

    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59941296

It lets you change the "user agent" and access BlackBerry World as a Z10/Q10 so you can download the apps that used to work on them...

Docu Shortcut was trying to charge me to download the app on my passport after the 3.1.364 leak. I didn't bother looking in to it further. All other apps seemed fine.

I assume I have to log out of everything on my z10 before I could log in on the passport?

Nope! The only thing that will get logged out is BBM, and that happens automatically when you set up BBM on the new device. You will lose any conversations that you had, though.
But if you're going to sell it or give it away you'd obviously want to do a security wipe. But none of that has to be done before you set up your Passport.

It's also only fair that we give devs time to update apps to work on the Passport.

Great news, that will allow me to give it a test drive before deciding which phone I want to keep.
