Before I just needed to swipe up once to return to my previous activity when the screen turns off; but after updating to 10.3.1.1181, swiping up brings me to the lock screen first then I have to swipe again to unlock. Is there away to disable this " double swipe "?

It's not a feature, it's a bug and it will be fixed by BlackBerry before the release. Just part of the process if you're loading leaked builds

I found out that on my Z3 if I swipe it a bit further like over half of the screen then it will unlock.

Thanks guys, double swipe is kind of a little hassle but except for that, 10.3.1.1151 has been running very smooth. Hope they get it fixed soon though.

I just want to say that having to swipe up twice is a huge pain. Particularly when you are using a picture password. It takes 3 steps to get into my phone now, ridiculous. I hope this is just a bug with the leak and not a new feature. Going back to official as soon as I can find the time.

No matter which way you cut it, if you have a password, it's 3 steps to get into the phone.

I've noticed that on the Passport, with a traditional single swipe to wake and unlock, you don't really see much of the lock screen. Due to the fact the screens not very tall and the swiping animation fades the screen away lock screen notifications can be hard to see. I hope this isn't a solution for that problem is all.

Yup. That's what I do in the meantime while waiting for the fix. But just in case this is would be an optional feature, I think double tap would be better...and faster.

Ok, I'll take your word on it... just I have no idea who you are and if you really know or not... but I'll trust you do, just this one time.

Why not use U+Enter to unlock?

It does work but pressing the power button is faster. What we want is the one swipe gesture which is faster and feels more natural with the BlackBerry OS...

Has anyone tried the 'slow' swipe? I've noticed that, if you have a finger close to the center-top of the screen when it wakes, it lifts the lock screen. This is working for me if I hit the power button or swipe.

So, basically, swipe up to just under the Blackberry logo and hold there until the phone is fully awake.
