    Hi all,

does anyone have the same problem as I have?

If I'm in dark or half-light rooms my Passport starts to dim the display and then it gets very bright abruptly and then its dimming and gets bright again and so on. It doesn't keep the display bright OR dimmed..

Can't find any option to disable the dimming function.

    Any ideas or solutions?

you cant disabled the autobrightness settings AFAIK but it should not cycle like that unless you are covering the sensor on and off with your hand.

The light stays bright when I cover the sensor.. it's the only way to avoid the switch between bright and dimmed.. is this a hardware issue or could it be solved with a software update?

Download BlackBerry Virtual Expert from BlackBerry World. It has tests to check hardware.

You can't disable autobrightness on the Passport? That's one of the first things I turn off on a phone.
