Got lead on a Passport, its unlocked, but It's vodafone UK branded on the splash screen and has a small amount of carrier bloatware

Is it possible to debrand to stock unbranded Blackberry 10?

If you have a Vodafone SIM card in it, no. As far as I know, the bloatware is also on the SIM card.

If you remove the SIM card and use BlackBerry Link to reload the OS, it should remove all Vodafone bloatware, but when you will insert a Vodafone SIM card it will come back again.

Splash screen is generally controlled by the SIM you put in the phone. Most carriers have their own splash screen, and it's rare that one doesn't.

Vodafone is pretty fast with updates, as far as I know, but you could always replace the SIM with one from a different carrier (one that already got the update) and you will be able to update your device.

As long as 3UK supports the same bands then you are good.
What is support? Like fix your phone and issues you have with phone?
It is not like BIS or something that you need carrier for.
A phone is a phone as long as it is made to work on the same bands.

If you buy a factory unlocked phone, BB pushes updates out to them directly. If you buy a "branded" phone, you'll have to wait for the carrier it's branded to to push out the update, or if you've unlocked it and are using it on another carrier, your SIM gets priority over branding and/or factory unlockedness.

So zero update worries with a voda branded bb that's been unlocked and used on a carrier that does not sell the same phone.

I bought Passport from Vodafone, unlocked it and using with Three. No problems with updates and no splash screen.
Update to 10.3.1.1565 was in first day of relase, or second maybe.
    Nothing to worry about.
