So I'm about to pull the trigger on buying a new or refurbished passport. Looking at a red or black one unlocked. I found a black one on Ebay for 429 US dollars with free shipping. Good deal or not? I'd really like a red one but can't seem to find one for under 499. Not looking to buy used if I can help it. Any advice?

Buy new from shop BlackBerry, amazon, or a service provider that sells them.
    Stay away from used.
Spend the extra $70 and have a warranty.

I agree, purchase new. I bought the BBP from ShopBB when it was listed at $649
Considering the BBP is listed at $500 now is the time to buy especially with the
Dallas model releasing soon, can't imagine the price being any lower.

Amazon has used Red Passports for $417.00
Like new for $447.00 or so.

Oops. Had to edit for obvious reason.

With BlackBerry in general don't mess around. Make sure you buy a device with a warranty even it cost extra because it will save you of any potential head aches in the future

I suspect we might be seeing some sales from Shop Blackberry and the carriers for back to school promos. Depending on how long you have to wait a Thanksgiving or Black Friday sale is only a few months away too.

I took a chance on an Amazon Warehouse deal on Prime Day and bought an immaculate Passport for $280 shipped after Prime Day discounts. Two weeks in I have zero issues and if something arises I still have two weeks to return.

Why the struggle? Get it. The Passport is a beast.

Never buy a used Blackberry phone! Blackberry will not honor a warranty on any Blackberry phone if you are not the original purchaser. I believe
this is stated in their Terms and Conditions. Purchase from a reputable source.
