Call Cricket or do the normal troubleshooting such a reboot your device, reinstall your SIM. Not much anyone here can suggest outside of the norm.

Cricket is a Bring your own phone type carrier like Tmobile. As long as you have a GSM device your phone should work on Cricket. I use my Priv and Passport on Cricket

Rock'n that Passport with the red Kevlar skin

Cricket as a carrier is good and cheaper than others but they don't give much support to BB10 devices like BB Passport, no VVM. But they give support to android devices like the Priv.

Yes, using their own app. Its not in the phone app. In order to open your VVM you have to search that app, but it works pretty good!!
